The 2023 WSU Extension Field Day, which marks the 38th anniversary of the Onion Cultivar Evaluation, will be held Thursday, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hosted by Skone & Connors, the event will be held at the site of the 2023 WSU Onion Cultivar Trial west of Moses Lake.
This year’s trial includes 52 onion cultivars and lines from seven seed companies. Participants will have an opportunity to examine the trial entries in the field. The field day presentations will begin with a short overview of the crop and trial, then WSU onion researchers will give updates on their work. A BBQ Luncheon will be served at noon.
