In a heartwarming demonstration of commitment to the future of American agriculture, G&R Farms is celebrating a remarkable achievement. The company’s “Growing America’s Farmers” (GAF) program has successfully raised over $50,000 this year to provide scholarships and grants for Future Farmers of America (FFA) students across the nation. This milestone adds to an impressive seven-year total of nearly $400,000 raised, showcasing G&R Farms’ dedication to nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Sam’s Club, among other regional and national retailers, played a significant role in supporting this noble cause. Their collaboration contributed over $16,000 to the fundraising effort, generated from the proceeds of G&R Farms’ Vidalia onions sold at participating retailers during the promotion period.
Growing America’s Farmers holds a special place in the hearts of the G&R Farms team. The program was established with the noble purpose of investing in the future of agriculture by offering financial support to FFA students, enabling them to pursue their educational and career aspirations in production agriculture.
This year’s incredible success was made possible through collaboration with ten regional and national retailers. These retailers joined forces with G&R Farms to support the program and raise awareness about the men and women responsible for growing our food. Their dedication underscores the agricultural community’s commitment to nurturing young talent and ensuring the future of the farming and ranching industry.
Blake Dasher, CEO of G&R Farms, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are thrilled to have raised over $50,000 this year for FFA students through our GAF program. It’s truly heartwarming to witness the support and commitment of our retail partners, who played a significant role in the success of this program. These funds will go a long way in empowering the next generation of farmers.”
