The winning combo of super colossal sweet onions from Peri and Sons Firebaugh, CA, operation and a portable grill from Coleman team up for the BBQ Bloomer Onion promo to run from June through mid-September.
According to Teri Gibson, director of marketing at Peri, the duration will depend on “the supply of those particularly large – super colossal – sweet onions.” Teri said the majority of the onions will come out of Firebaugh, where they’ll also be cured, packed and shipped.

The single-onion Grab-n-Go bags are available to retailers in 15, 20 and 25 count cartons and also 40# bulk. The bag contains a super colossal yellow sweet, 4.5 to 5 inches, as well as a packet of spice blend. Instructions for grilling are on the bag, along with the QR code that takes the consumer to a cooking video and dipping sauce recipes.
Both the package and the website provide opportunity to win the Coleman grill, which Teri said will be the latest model offered by the grill company.
She said the packages will be available at the end of May.
