As first coined by Frederick R. Barnard in 1921 in his work ‘Printer’s Ink’ and more notably by David Gates of the musical group, Bread, in 1971, if “a picture paints a thousand words,” then OnionBusiness has painted 1.5 million in 2018 alone.
Yes. Over the past year, we have published over 1,500 images. Many, we have photographed on location covering the best vegetable and people on the planet. The balance has been shared with us by many of the fine folks that so proudly represent the onion industry, like Robert Bell with Western Onion Sales, Michael Locati with Walla Walla River Packing, Grant Kitamura with Baker & Murakami Produce, Larry Bauman with L&L Ag. Production, Doug Bulgrin with Gumz Farms, and the list goes on. We are eternally grateful for all our contributors’ support, and of course, we are always looking for more. So please consider sending us your cool photos to be featured in 2019!
In the meantime, enjoy this small collection that represents approximately ten percent of the total and highlights everything from field tours, to trade shows, conventions, new hires, those that have passed, and much more.
We hope these photos will prompt you to go back to our archives and read the stories that accompany the images, and we look forward to “painting” this wonderful industry with more pictures in the year to come.
