Monday July 31 was a special day. On an early morning in the middle of the summer holidays, the 60-strong Eqraft team got together to admire the brand-new head office, only a stone’s throw away from the original premises.
The past few years have been years of growth for Eqraft: from the delivery of various optical graders and new clients spread out all over the world, to a large number of new employees within the different teams, from engineering and software to purchasing, assembly and field service. All of this meant one thing: Eqraft needed more space.
Perfect match
That’s why it was perfect timing when directors Marcel Kampes and Rutger Keurhorst spotted this new building on Werktuigenweg a few weeks ago. Shortly after the first viewing, the deal was settled: this was going to be the new Eqraft head office. Completed in 2022, the building is brand new, but more importantly: it’s big enough to meet Eqraft’s needs and ambitions. And all this at just 1 mile away from the old premises.
Eqraft remains in Emmeloord
Managing Director Marcel Kampes: “We are delighted to have found this new location, only a short distance away from our current premises, as it allows us to stay in the Noordoostpolder, an epicentre of the Dutch agri industry. We’ve grown attached to this place: this is where our history lies and where many of our customers and suppliers are located. And, of course, our employees: many of them live in the area.”
Future-oriented
The new location means a substantial expansion in terms of space: the new premises cover some 71 000 ft², divided into modern office spaces and meeting rooms, a warehouse, an assembly area, and a shipping area. The new Eqraft headquarters also features 21 overhead doors, cranes with different lifting capacities, LED lighting, and underfloor heating. The 10 700 ft² office space will give each team their own, dedicated place to work. CFO Wouter Kaptijn: “I am pleased that this move allows us to offer our people the space they deserve. This new head office matches the quality of our machines and our ambitions.”
New headquarters
The coming months will be used to furnish the new premises. A special project team has been appointed to ensure that the move can take place before the end of the year. Fortunately, the building is ready for use and it’s just a matter of a few finishing touches. Director Commerce Rutger Keurhorst: “I can’t wait to give our clients a tour of the new production facilities and offices in our new Eqraft headquarters.”
