For 15 years, since becoming a member of the National Onion Association in 2001, Garner Lanfeld Packaging has hosted a dinner for onion industry attendees at the NOA summer and winter conventions.
The 2016 event in Savannah brought approximately three dozen members to the gathering, and company principal Peter Garner told OnionBusiness.com it was an especially meaningful time – and place.
“We hosted a dinner in this same city 10 years ago, and we’re happy to be back in beautiful Savannah,” Peter said of himself and Garner-Lanfeld co-owner Al Lanfeld.
He added, “We are very, very strong supporters of the National Onion Association, and we truly appreciate this close-knit group. There is so much loyalty within the organization and a lot of camaraderie at these conventions. There’s also a lot of opportunity to form business relationships through the association.”
