Germains Seed Technology North America announced on April 14 that Handell Larco has been added to the team as Key Account Manager.
Larco brings more than 15 years of experience working with vegetable and berry industries throughout California, Arizona, and the Pacific Northwest.
He holds an MSc in Horticulture and an MBA from Oregon State University.
“Handell has great experience in the agriculture industry. He worked for several companies in California as business development and sales accounts,” said Kevin Walsh, Head of Commercial at Germains.
Adding to Larco’s experience have been positions with Driscoll’s, Growers Transplanting, and just recently Pairwise, Walsh said. “I am confident that Handell’s years of technical field experience, business development, and strategic planning will be of tremendous value to our customers and growers.”
While at Driscoll’s, Larco was involved with the supply and commercialization of new profitable berry cultivars. In addition, he expanded the vegetable transplant market share in California and Arizona and developed a watermelon and tomato grafting program for Growers Transplanting Inc.
In his previous position at Pairwise, Larco was involved in product development, line selection, and commercialization of the mustard leafy greens program.
Larco’s crop knowledge is as diverse as his technical field experiences. As Key Account Manager, Larco will act as a customer liaison within Germains by seeking opportunities to add value for the customer and the company through service, field trial programs, and strategic development to help drive new product innovation.
