The International Fresh Produce Association’s Washington Conference will be held June 10-12 this year, once again uniting the fresh produce and floral industries to “address our most pressing public policy matters.”
The website notes, “Members of all segments of the fresh produce supply chain will come together June 10-12 to make their voices heard on key policy and regulatory issues that impact the fresh produce industry such as food safety, nutrition and consumption, workforce, farm bill, trade and more. Demand change and action.”
The earlier date for the event was set to “better align with the Congressional calendar and influence D.C. policymakers,” a recent IFPA release noted. Registration is open at the Association’s website, https://www.freshproduce.com/events/the-washington-conference/?utm_source=TPN&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=IFPA+custom+March+2024&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fwww.freshproduce.com%2fevents%2fthe-washington-conference%2f&utm_id=833554&sfmc_id=7126097.
Key reasons to attend the event include the opportunity to “fight for the issues that affect your business,” with the website saying, “Fresh produce workforce, food safety, nutrition, organics, and sustainability and climate are all priority issues important to our members and set the course for IFPA’s advocacy in our Nation’s Capitol.”
The conference includes annual Congressional meetings on Capitol Hill.
