Shuman Produce, year-round sweet onion grower and shipper, recently announced the addition of Marketing Coordinator Amanda Lott to its Reidsville, GA-based operation.
Amanda brings seven years’ experience in the produce industry, specializing in sweet onions and sweet potatoes, with background in sales and marketing.
“Marketing is a key component of our company’s focus,” said Shuman Produce President John Shuman. “With Amanda joining our team, we will continue to bring fresh and innovative programs the industry has come to expect from us.”
A graduate of Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, GA, Amanda earned a BA in English and Creative Writing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and served as president of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society during her time at Brewton-Parker.
“When I graduated from college with an English degree, working in the sweet onion industry was the last thing I ever imagined,” she said in a prepared release. “Through the everyday challenges of produce, I’ve grown in so many ways, and I look forward continuing that growth at Shuman Produce.”
Amanda, her husband and their two teenage children live in Baxley, GA.
