One sure sign of summer in the onion industry is the National Onion Association Convention, this year to be held July 18-21 in Bakersfield, CA, at the downtown Bakersfield Marriott.
The NOA asks that you register for the convention by June 25, and reservations at the Marriott must be made by June 27. The event kicks off with a registration reception on Wednesday, July 18, and Thursday will include committee meetings and an evening reception at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace museum and restaurant and live performance theater.
Friday will have a Lower San Joaquin Valley Ag Tour in the morning, with a general session and educational presentations scheduled for the afternoon. A live auction will be part of the Friday evening reception.
