Touting the benefits of an active lifestyle and a healthy diet that includes onions, the National Onion Association’s Nature’s Ninja is showing his versatility in appropriate settings – part of the beachy graphics in the 2019 Annual Convention Brochure posted at https://www.onions-usa.org/img/site_specific/uploads/Naples_Brochure_for_Web.pdf and also as a new addition to labels on consumer packs from Paradigm Fresh of Colorado.

The event gets going on Wednesday, Dec. 4, with an evening opening reception, and there’s a golf tourney on Thursday, Dec. 5, with registration also available online.
In addition to sessions and industry updates, there will also be a lunch and tour of the Ngala Wildlife Preserve in Naples and the NOA raffle at the Awards Banquet on Friday night, with raffle tickets available by calling Sharla at (970) 353-5895.
Friday’s daytime activities include a breakfast and general session looking at industry current events, trends, challenges and public relations. current events in the onion industry and other pertinent topics. The keynote, “Onion Society,” will be given by Maria Elena Pombo, who has created a new project in which she uses onion skins to dye textiles. Following her presentation will be a report from the USDA on GAP audit services, with USDA Business Development Specialist Jeffrey Davis fielding questions.
Saturday’s breakfast session will look at crop reports.
