Onions 52 announced earlier this week two new partnerships with New Mexico growers, with Cody Shiflett Produce and Hatch Valley Produce joining the marketing program for the 2022 summer season.
A press release from Syracuse, UT-based Onions 52 said, “The new partnerships will allow for increased supply during the summer months to service the needs of customers across the country by offering a variety of consumer and bulk packs in all colors.”
In addition to Cody Shiflett Produce and Hatch Valley Produce, Onions 52 continues its long-standing marketing agreement with Carzalia Valley Produce, which has added organic yellow onions to its lineup this year.
Shawn Hartley, vice president of sales and partner at Onions 52, said, “Our New Mexico partnerships are a powerhouse of superior onion growers, and we are excited to have them on board to strengthen our year-round onion program.”
Cody Shiflett, president of Cody Shiflett Produce, commented, “We are excited about the opportunity with Onions 52 and look forward to the partnership for many years.” And Bill Porter, president of Hatch Valley Produce, also said, “The diversity of business that Onions 52 brings to the table along with their years of experience will help us grow as a company.”
The trio of onion growers, Cody Shiflett Produce, Hatch Valley Produce, and Carzalia Valley Produce, plan to begin harvesting onions in May and will operate until mid-August.
