With an objective of “unifying the voice of fruit and vegetable businesses in Texas, while supporting the advancement of those businesses specifically in the Houston-region,” the new alliance will be working on issues “such as infrastructure needs at the maritime ports and roadways, increasing consumption in a diverse socio-economic region, and bringing together the industry members for regular engagements and networking opportunities, thus ensuring the association is meeting their needs.”

With its extensive network and industry knowledge, TIPA plays a pivotal role in shaping policies, facilitating trade, and promoting the highest quality and safety standards.”
The release said, “Similarly, HFFVA has earned a reputation as a trusted voice and resource for the fresh fruit and vegetable community in the Houston area. Through its initiatives, events, and advocacy efforts, HFFVA champions the interests of local handlers, distributors, retailers, and industry partners while promoting consumer awareness and engagement.”
TIPA and HFFVA as partners “will leverage their respective strengths to address common challenges, explore new opportunities, and drive positive change within the region’s produce industry.:
