Highlights of the conference schedule include the address on Wednesday, June 14, during the Opening General Session from 8:30-9:45 a.m. by Doug Rauch, Co-CEO of Conscious Capitalism, an organization “which looks at how four specific tenets—higher purpose, stakeholder integration, conscious leadership, and conscious culture—can simultaneously build stronger businesses and improve society as a whole.”
Doug spent 31 years with Trader Joe’s Co., the last 14 as a president within the company. He is also the founder/president of Daily Table, a non-profit retail concept designed to bring affordable nutrition to the underserved in our cities.
According to the United website, “Rauch will share lessons learned and perspectives from his 31 years at Trader Joe’s, as the company grew from a small, nine-store chain in Southern California to a nationally acclaimed retail success with more than 340 stores in 30 states. Rauch points to the team’s commitment to innovation and its customer experience orientation as keys to success. Rauch retired from Trader Joe’s in 2008, and he will also share his views on his work since with enterprises helping develop self-sustaining cultures of innovation, building a brand in a competitive marketplace, and leading companies to focus on their deeper purpose.”
