The United Fresh board of directors announced this week the June convention and expo in San Diego has been moved to an entirely different platform, United Fresh LIVE!, a virtual event that’s free for everyone and dedicated to connect customers and suppliers just as the in-person convention has done for decades.
In a video explanation posted at https://www.unitedfreshlive.org/uf20/splashpage/index.html, United President/CEO Tom Stenzel said, “One thing we’ve learned is that our industry is interconnected.” The goal of the virtual event is to maintain that connection with video streaming, face-to-face chats and group “gatherings.”
While the event is free, United Fresh is asking participants to register at https://info.unitedfresh.org/en/united-fresh-2020-live-registration-0-0
The virtual event is set to debut the week of June 15 and will feature live keynote presentations along with roundtable discussions, lively networking and even an expo floor where exhibitors and attendees can interact. United will be working with its sponsors and exhibitors on building the platform to share info and videos.
OnionBusiness will provide more information about United Fresh LIVE! as sneak peeks become available.
