OnionBusiness’s Sherise Jones was among those representing the onion industry at this year’s PMA Foodservice Conference, and she said, “The 2019 PMA Foodservice Conference proved again that if you are in the business of marketing onions, Monterey, CA, at the end of July is the place to be!”
Sherise noted that in addition to onion industry companies exhibiting at the show, “dozens of onion marketers were seen walking the show floor.” She also said, “The Idaho-E. Oregon Onion Committee reported a record turnout for its annual onion and potato brunch co-sponsored with Southwind Farms Gourmet Potatoes.” The brunch was held at Montrio Bistro, with Chef Tony Baker and his staff preparing a full menu of items highlighting Treasure Valley Spanish Sweets and Southwind potatoes. Armed with camera, Sherise captured the PMA activities digitally, and here is a peek into what she described as “a complete success for onion marketing!”
