Our friend Robert Bell with Western Onion in Camarillo, CA, has been on the road lately, touring a number of onion operations in the Northwest with a contingent from Kalfresh, Australia.
“It was a great tour, with six guys from Kalfresh,” he said of the group’s visit to Easterday Farms in Pasco, WA. “We also visited Target Ag/L&L Farms, and we’re heading to Boise now after visiting Syngenta Seeds,” Robert said on April 25.
Kalfresh was established in 1992 by father and son Barry and Robert Hinrichsen and is a group of vertically integrated generational farmers who “innovate to grow the healthiest, tastiest, nutrient-rich crops we can, with the least impact on the earth,” the company’s website says. Our thanks to Robert for the great photos he’s shared from his tour of Easterday Farms and Target Ag/L&L Farms in Othello, WA.
