Our latest “Grower Spotlight” video features Bret Nielson, a grower with a passion for his craft and a deep connection to the land and community around him. Bret’s story began in an unexpected way; he grew up on a dairy farm in Adrian, Oregon, only to see it sold when his family moved away. However, Bret’s heart never left his hometown, and he eventually reclaimed his roots by buying back the old family farm from his neighbors who had purchased it when his family moved away. Bret’s dedication and hard work have shaped him into the self-made farmer he is today, proud to provide top-notch onions that make their way to plates all over the nation.
Bret’s mission goes beyond growing quality onions, though. He also wants to challenge common misconceptions about farmers, showing that growers are stewards of the land—working tirelessly to preserve it for future generations. By passing down the value of hard work to his children, he also demonstrates that farming is a labor of love for the land and the people who call it home.
At Eagle Eye Produce, we are honored to work with amazing growers like Bret. Our “Grower Spotlight” series aims to celebrate and amplify the voices of growers who share Bret’s passion for growing high quality, healthy foods for people across the country.
