Gills Onions’ Jose Cardona and Steve Gill went “up north” recently to visit industry friend Larry Bauman at Target AG in Othello, WA. Washington this month.
Megan Jacobsen, Gills Vice President of Sales and Marketing, told us, “Steve makes industry visits to other growing regions multiple times a year to keep in touch with our onion friends. Our team was able to check out Larry’s onion storage and admired his excellent onion size and quality that he has for the 2020-2021 season.”
And Megan said Gills is full-on planting now for 2021.
“Planting season has arrived,” she said on Oct. 19. “Preparations are already underway for 2021 growing season, beginning with Brawley, CA, our first growing region. Onions being planted now will begin to be harvested in mid-April.”
