Onions Etc. and Modi Apple USA, divisions of Stockton, CA-based JJB Farms, announced Bob Freeman has come aboard as director of sales. Bob brings more than 18 years of experience managing produce accounts throughout the United States and has “a solid background managing retail and wholesale clients,” according to an Aug. 8 company release.
“Bob’s extensive professional background includes management positions with Yorkshire Foods (Del Monte Dried Fruit), Mariani Packing, Fresh Gourmet and most recently Fresh Express,” the release said. “He is an established leader with expertise in brand development, marketing and merchandising, as well as administrative expertise in strategic sales for both commodity and branded growth.”
Company President Derrell Kelso said, “We are thrilled to have Bob join Onions Etc. / Modi Apple USA to share his knowledge and expertise with our team. Bob’s experience and unique perspective, paired with his leadership style, are exactly what our brand needs for continued growth.”
In his new role, Bob will “help shape and develop Onions Etc. / Modi Apple USA brand growth with retailers and consumers,” the release continued. He will “work closely with the team to create and promote new ideas and concepts, in addition to developing sales growth strategies.”
A Stockton native, Bob graduated from Fresno State Ag Business, and he and his family reside in Ripon, CA.
