Hailey, ID-based ProSource Produce, a major grower-shipper of fresh onions and potatoes, rolled out its new branded sweet carton on March 11, with Sales Manager Ralph Schwartz noting the new box is “the first in a series of new packaging introductions that the company has planned for 2021.”
ProSource CEO Corey Griswold also commented, “Our growing and packing operations across the United States and Mexico have experienced exceptional growth over the past decade and increased our capacity to provide a consistent year-round sweet onion program to our valued customers. The addition of a sweet onion carton to our existing brand is an exciting step forward in promoting ProSource and our supply capabilities.”
Schwartz said the vibrant design and colors add up to a package that “stands out on the crowd.” He said, “Our new carton is attractive to consumers, retailers and wholesalers alike and will put ProSource on the national stage in the sweet onion category.”
Onni Lufkin, Director of Onion Sales, said ProSource is excited to expand its brand into the sweet onion category, adding, “Our strategy for market penetration is supported with the same quality, integrity and brand our customers have grown to trust.”
A grower-owned and operated sales and marketing company, ProSource was founded in 2020 “to more effectively and directly market the crops of our growers and to provide a consistent supply chain and customer service experience to our customers.” The operation currently services a wide-range base that includes foodservice, retail, wholesale and broad-line customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America and “can provide year-round supply to any size retail, foodservice, or wholesale customer.” For more information, visit www.prosourceproduce.com.
