Monster storms continue to pound the Pacific Rim, with the latest round including the strongest typhoon of the season hitting Taiwan and China in mid-September. These links show some of the damage and destruction already incurred, including downed power lines, roads washed out, shipping containers tossed around like building blocks and reports of lighthouses swept off their foundations and carried out to sea.
